Hull Sporting Club produced a ruthless attacking performance as they secured a 10-2 away victory over Anlaby Rangers in the East Riding County League Division 4.
The Reds made the perfect start, with Callum Bamforth opening the scoring inside the first ten minutes before David Blake doubled the advantage shortly after. Bamforth added his second midway through the first half, and Hull SC continued to show their attacking quality as Jacob Bennett and Ricky Lawe also found the net before the break.
Anlaby Rangers responded through George Mutch in the 32nd minute, but Hull SC refused to lose control of the game. The visitors kept their tempo high, moved the ball with purpose and continued to create chances across the pitch.
Bamforth completed his hat-trick early in the second half, adding Hull SC’s sixth goal of the afternoon and capping off an excellent individual display. Ricky Lawe then added his second of the match, before Liam Dolan and Oliver Read got on the scoresheet as the Reds continued to apply pressure.
Marcel Dalee pulled another goal back for Anlaby Rangers in the 55th minute, but Hull SC remained firmly in control and finished the game strongly. David Blake added his second late on to complete the scoring and seal a dominant away win.
Bamforth’s treble, Blake and Lawe’s braces, and further goals from Bennett, Dolan and Read underlined the attacking depth within the squad. It was a performance built on sharp finishing, strong movement and a collective desire to maintain standards from start to finish.
The scoreline shows the quality we had in the final third, but what pleased me most was the attitude. We stayed disciplined, kept moving the ball and showed real hunger throughout the game.
— Hull SC Manager
Speaking after the match, the manager praised the squad’s mentality and discipline.
Player of the Match Callum Bamforth also reflected on a strong team display after leading the scoring with three goals.
