Hull SC continued their strong league form with a 4-2 home win over Market Weighton Town, as Callum Bamforth’s hat-trick helped the Reds respond to second-half pressure.
Hull Sporting Club continued their league campaign with a strong 4-2 victory over Market Weighton Town at Pelican Park Playing Fields.
The Reds made a positive start and took the lead in the 15th minute through Callum Bamforth, who finished well to give Hull SC early control of the match.
Hull SC continued to build momentum and doubled their advantage in the 27th minute, with captain Oliver Read finding the net to put the home side in a commanding position before half-time.
Market Weighton Town responded shortly after the break, with Harvey Sykes-Cook scoring in the 47th minute to reduce the deficit and bring the visitors back into the contest.
Hull SC answered quickly. Bamforth struck again in the 52nd minute, restoring the two-goal cushion and giving the Reds breathing room after Market Weighton’s early second-half response.
The visitors refused to let the game drift away and pulled another goal back in the 77th minute through Jack Whitehouse, setting up a tense final stage.

But Hull SC stayed composed. The Reds managed the closing moments with maturity, continued to carry attacking threat, and refused to allow the momentum to swing fully away from them.
Bamforth completed his hat-trick in the 89th minute, sealing the victory and capping off an excellent individual performance.
The result showed another strong step forward for Hull Sporting Club, with the team combining attacking quality, resilience and control to secure another important league win.
For Hull SC, it was another positive result at Pelican Park Playing Fields and another sign of the group’s growing confidence, standards and ability to respond under pressure.
